Universal’s solution-dyed Nylon 6,6 offers superior performance combined with a slightly different polymer chemistry than that of Nylon 6. Nylon 6,6 is primarily used for the institutional, recreational, and corporate segments. Due to its tight structure and chemistry, Nylon 6,6 is more resistant to UV-rays, stain uptake, and aggressive cleaning agents. It also has better resistance to crushing and matting.

Technical Strengths
Mechanically crimp textured and highly entangled yarns have enhanced appearance retention and superior bulk for better yarn coverage (lower weights). Nylon 6,6 offers excellent tuft retention for longer wear. Modified trilobal cross section enhances wear and promotes higher bulk, which satisfies the most demanding commercial application requirements. Universal's Nylon 6,6 carpet yarns are formulated for superior UV fastness and show no inclination for ozone fading. Universal yarns are treated with an advanced low-soil finish and are formulated to significantly reduce maintenance costs.
